The TSRB14G basket strainer is suitable for oil or other liquid transportation pipelines. It can filter impurities from the fluid, and the filtration area is larger than the diameter pipe area about twice or triple, which is also larger than Y and T strainer. The filter accuracy is higher than others. The shape of the filter looks like a basket, so it is called basket strainer. The basket filter is mainly composed of a connecting pipe, a cylinder, a filter basket, a flange, a flange cover, and fasteners. The product is usually installed on the conveying pipeline, to filter solid particles from liquid and protect the normal use of compressors, pumps and instruments and other equipment, when the fluid enters the filter barrel, its impurities are blocked, and clean fluid discharged from the filter outlet. When the filter element needs to be cleaned, just take out the detachable filter barrel, and reload it after cleaning. It is extremely convenient to use and maintain. Basket strainers have been widely used in gas, petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection and other industries. If it is installed at the inlet of the pump or other parts of the system pipeline, it can not only extend the service life of the pump and other equipment, but also ensure the safety of the entire system.
Working Principle and Features
When the liquid enters the filter basket through the cylinder, the solid impurity particles are blocked in the filter basket, and the clean fluid passes through the filter basket and is discharged from the filter outlet. When the filter element needs to be cleaned, open the bottom screw plug, drain the fluid, disassemble the flange cover, and then reinstall it after cleaning. It is extremely convenient to use and maintain.

Notes for Installation
The product can be installed horizontally or vertically. When it is installed, the medium flow direction must be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the casing.
In order to maintain conveniently, it is recommended to install and use this product together with cut-off valves. Both upstream and downstream of this product should be installed with cut-off valves. When the product needs to be repaired, the upstream and downstream valves can be closed to cut off its connection with the system.
It is best to install a differential pressure gauge upstream and downstream of the product. If there is a difference between the upstream and downstream pressure gauge readings, which means that there are many impurities on the filter element. At this time, the flowing resistance will become larger, the filter element need to be cleaned.
In order to keep the system working normally when repaired the strainer, kmo recommends that it is best to install a bypass line with the strainer. The shut-off valve is closing when the strainer is working well. But when it needs to maintenance, the shut-off valve should be opened.

Repair and Maintenance
The core part of kmo's strainer is the filter element. The filter element is composed of the filter frame and stainless steel wire (or PTFE). The stainless steel wire mesh is easy to damage and needs protection.
When the strainer works for a period of time, impurities will adhere in the filter element. At this time, the pressure will increase and the flow rate will decrease, it means that the filter element needs to take out and clean.
When you cleaned the element, please be care about the wire mesh. If the wire mesh is deformed or damaged, please replace it in time. Or the filtration cannot meet the demand, the compressor, pump, valve and other equipment will be damaged.
